A very late thank you to Mike and the team for a fantastic week. It recharged batteries that I didn't know were flat! I have been back in my mainstream school struggling to balance my personal convictions with the expectations of an unrealistic demanding system. But - next Saturday - I am going to a workshop on setting up a small school and hope it will point me in the right direction for finance, legalities etc.
Heartfelt thank yous to everyone who attended the conference. It was encouraging and inspiring to meet and talk with so many passionate people who also know how to have a good time!

Since september first, our school has started with six students. We had a lot of press coverage, which helps us reach a wide audience. Also, we had some positive response from policymakers.

I’m said that I missed the conference.
I’m looking for a possibility to be a part of a democratic, free school!!
Since many years I work as a freelance on privat, public and democratic schools in Europe and different countries around the globe
I am also working on social change project (groups), with the intent to integret the democratic school system in to the public school system.
I offer a brought variety of skills to facilitate children and parents in their learning process. Basic things like how children can discover – on their own- their individual learning strategies using the Howard Gardner multiple Intelligences approach and others.
Children like a lot the Body-Mind- Awareness games I offer (ask me to send you a DVD)
With my non violent communication skills (Marshal Rosenberg) I’m able to support Consens resolutions by conflict situations, with the intent to fulfil the needs of everyone.

This is a problem concerning the German language: The male version of a word is the same as the one you use for a general meaning. Dear friends,
The translator of the Spanish version of "Free at Last - The Sudbury Valley School", Javier Herrero's email address, marienyjavier@wanadoo.es, is not working. Neither is working his school's email address, autodidacto@wanadoo.es. And I've been asked how to get the book, by people interested in purchasing a copy of it.
Do somebody happens to know how to either get a copy of the Spanish version of the book or get in contact with Javier Herrero ?

What does networking help us - besides new persons to long for? A subversive power? A subversive feeling? Support? The experience not to be alone with this ideas? The experience of living and working togehther?
